That’s it! Seven years have already passed by since the 28th of November, 2000. What’s so special about that date, you might ask, my dear reader. Well, that was the day I passed the theoretical and practical exam and got my driving licence..
Much has happened since then, the main things I remember would be the following:
- I have bought 2 cars, one of which is also sold;
- I have driven.. well, I don’t know.. could be around 35000 km or so;
- I had collected 9 penalty points for speeding 😀 Only two of them are left at the moment, yet till the 23th of December;
- I have paid some ~150 LVL for speeding and illegal parking;
- I have bought a radar detector, as well as given it away to the police;
- I have triggered no accidents!
Ehz, Auld Lang Syne.. 😉

Radar detectors are one of the best ways of avoiding that speeding ticket. Think about the costs involved in a speeding ticket. You have the ticket, possible court costs, points off license, and rising insurance costs. You can protect yourself with a good radar detector. You can check out our line of detectors. We carry a portable by K-40 that even gives you a one year ticket rebate if you do happen to get a ticket. Protection and prevention is the key to anything. Be safe and use common sense. Don’t speed in school zones and areas where children are present.
Well, I had bought a radar detector, but the police confiscated it.. 😉
I am glad I found your blog on yahoo. Thanks for the sensible critique. Me and my girlfriend were just preparing to do some research about this. I am happy to see such great info being shared freely out there.
Best Regards,
